The straight-braced X, 3-tone bar bracing pattern lends to a controlled, focused sound that rewards a lighter touch while still having enough headroom on tap thanks to the Adirondack top. There's a natural compression to this style of build that makes it a wonderful accompaniment guitar, while still shining when featured on it's own. Thanks to a PLEK fret dress and a Mass Street setup here in our shop this F-35 is playing the best it has since leaving Dale's Windsor, CT shop.
Here in Very Good condition, there is evidence of playwear to the finish throughout, most notably the headstock, soundhole and pickguard, as well as a few finish dents near the fingerboard extension. There are a few of what we call "key dents" near the waist of the treble side - most likely from the guitar resting on a set of keys in someone's pocket. There are a few minor dents to the back of the neck as well. None of this wear is a sign of negligence, rather a sign of a wonderful guitar that got played.
This is an incredible deal on a boutique, single-builder guitar that features premium tonewoods a wonderful sound. Includes the original Fairbanks case.
