This vintage Gibson - 1923 H-4 Mandola (Loar Period) is lovely sounding instrument that is resonant, open, and a very dynamic player. Here with gorgeous sunburst finish, this H-4 features a flat fingerboard with moderate fretwear on non-original smaller frets.

Repairs include both a neck joint and headstock break (see photos), both are stable. The back binding has shrunk over the years and has pulled away in the concave curves of the back (see photos). Non-original pickguard. Includes the original hardshell case.

A fantastic sounding example of an F-style, oval-hole, Loar era mandola. Contact us for more information regarding condition.
