Gibson Acoustic Guitars - 2013 Custom Shop J-45 1950s Reissue - Tri-Burst
This used Gibson Custom Shop J-45 1950s Reissue is part of a limited run and a faithful re-creation of a classic '50s J-45 - the "workhorse" guitar that's perfect for traditional country, bluegrass, roots, and countless other genres. This is a Slope-Shouldered Dreadnought with a Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany neck, back and sides, and a Rosewood fingerboard. Made in 2013, it's in Very Good condition overall, it has minimal playwear and a small ding on its side (see photo), but the frets are clean and it plays great.
This has a 24.625" scale length and a 1.725" nut width. Lightweight and with a big, warm tone, the J-45 is easily Gibson's best-selling acoustic guitar - and after nearly 70 years, it's still one of the most popular and coveted dreadnoughts available. Featuring classic, understated '50s appointments like a single-ring rosette and binding, it also has a big tortoiseshell pickguard. Known for its big sound and open projection, this Gibson Custom Shop J-45 1950s Reissue is a faithful recreation of the original workhorse that's come to help define the sound of players like David Gilmour, Bob Dylan, and Buddy Holly. This includes its original hardshell case and a professionally installed L.R. Baggs Lyrics pickup.
