This 1952 Gibson SJ is one of the cleanest, and nicest vintage SJs we have ever had here at the shop. The guitar plays and sounds as good as it looks. It is very open and clear with a dynamic range that lets you explore a great range of tone effortlessly. If it isn't abundantly clear, we like this guitar. This guitar defies its 70-plus years. Here with a repaired center seam crack and a repaired pickguard crack, both of which are stable. The original tuners are included (see photos) and have been swapped for reproduction ones. Here with minimal fretwear, and gorgeous checking to the finish, along with the expected playwear for an instrument of this vintage. Included era-appropriate Gibson hardshell case.
