This Gibson Banjos - 1927 TB-F Florentine - 5-String Conversion, is a gorgeous, great playing banjo with loads of high-end appointments. From the first year of Florentine production, this arch-top banjo features Gibson's 40 hole raised head tone ring that rings out bright, and clear. Originally a tenor banjo, this TB-F was converted to 5-string setup as tenor banjo playing declined in popularity and 5-string, Scruggs-style took off. The 5-string conversion neck, which is expertly done, is the work of Missouri-based luthier, Greg Harmon. Maple neck, resonator and pot. Rosewood fingerboard. Includes a modern hardshell case and original tenor neck.
