This used Gibson Chet Atkins CE Classical is a spectacular instrument, and the same model that was played by Mark Knopfler on several Dire Straits records. Its thinline, chambered nylon-string classical body has a Cedar top and Mahogany back and sides, giving it a warm tone that sounds beautifully either plugged in or unplugged.
Its Gibson Hex Piezo bridge transducer is perfect for the stage and studio, faithfully producing a nylon-stringed tone without the risk of unwanted feedback at higher volumes. The wide 1.8125" nut feels like a standard classical, while the slim body is just like holding an electric. It has some play wear, most notably near the bridge (see photos), but overall it is in Very Good condition and plays like a charm. This Gibson Chet Atkins CE is a great option for players looking for that nylon-stringed sound on the big stage.
