This 1957 ES-225T is one of those rare birds from the 1950s, where the future of the electric guitar was still being sorted out. The 225T was the very first thinline guitar in Gibson's lineup, and the first model to feature the "T" designation. Here with laminated maple top, back and sides, the guitar shares characters from all over Gibson lineup including the Les Paul-style trapeze tailpiece.

Sporting the original P-90, this ES-225T has that warm sound associated with the vintage pickup, and the fully hollow archtop design that was later made famous by the 330, delivers a responsive, acoustic-style build. The '57 neck carve is fantastic and feels good up and down the neck.

The bridge has been replaced with a properly intonated mojo-axe replacement. The original bridge is included. The original pickguard is also included, and has warped overtime (see photos). The tuners have been replaced and the original tailpiece shows signs of a previously made repair Here in very good condition for a nearly 70-year-old instrument, the guitar plays great thanks to a Mass Street setup and in-house PLEK fret dress. Includes a later-era Gibson hardshell case (see photos)
