Here in Excellent Plus condition, this used Gibson Les Paul Axcess Custom is a beauty. Mixing classic qualities of the Les Paul Standards from the late '50s with a few modern upgrades, Gibson hit it out of the park with this one. Weighing in at a comfortable 6 pounds, 13 ounces, its weight-relieved Mahogany body is fantastically resonant—once you pick this guitar up you won't want to put it down. A contoured neck joint and upper cutaway give it a 'heel-less' feel, lending easy access to the upper frets. To add to its comfort, it has a belly scarf or rib-cage contour. It's easy to see that this guitar was made to be played, and played, and played some more.
It's loaded with a super-hot, exposed coil 496R pickup in the neck and a 498T in the bridge. Push/Pull functionality on both the treble and rhythm Tone knobs provides series parallel coil splitting, which lends accurate single coil tones when desired, without the hum. Another unique feature: The Axcess Les Pauls are usually made with a Floyd Rose tremolo. This one is rare—made with a stop tailpiece.
Unusual, versatile, and absolutely delightful to play, this refreshingly lightweight Gibson Les Paul Axcess Custom comes with its original hardshell case.
