Introduced in 1978, the Gibson - 1980 ES-347 could easily be thought of as the "Les Paul Custom" of Gibson semi-hollowbodies. It sports a coil tap for both pickups that allows for some tonal variance along with a distinctive output boost or drop. The TP-6 tailpiece gives some slick and smooth fine tuning options, while the low frets are a fast playing characteristic of a vintage guitar. Handsomely understated silver hardware adds to the fancy flavor of this tasteful piece, and paired with its original hardshell case, one can capture a more refined period in Gibson's electric guitar making history.
