This used, vintage Gibson 1956 ES-225T is a great player guitar, perfect for jazz, blues, and more. As Gibson's first thinline hollowbody, discontinued after about 5 years, just over 5,000 of these were produced with the lone P-90 pickup. It has a Maple body that sounds great unplugged and plugged-in, a set Mahogany neck, and a Rosewood fingerboard.
It has some wear and nicks, but at over 60 years old it is still in Very Good condition. Most wear is on the top, headstock, and a few nicks on the neck, but nothing that impedes playability. The tuner buttons have been replaced as the originals were corroded, but otherwise this beauty is all-original including the pickup. The serial number is not visible, but the Factory Order Number is U9827.32. This Gibson 1956 ES-225T is an excellent player ready for a new home. It also comes with the original vibrant red-lined case.
