The Greer Amps - Royal Velvet is the next in the XFR line featuring the steel transformer found in award winning SOMA63. The feel of this pedal is changed by the "loading" of the transformer plus a brighter EQ that lives between an AC and Greer Thunderbolt30. Classic British tones are available here with excellent edge-of-breakup sound that is amp-like and organic. Run this pedal at 9 volts for silky grind with a clear high-end, or push your amp with 18 volts for some sparkle. If you're looking for a bright overdrive that behaves like a classic British amp and works well with other pedals, Greer has made an exceptional option for you.
