This Gretsch G9450 Dixie Open-Back Banjo is a beautifully-constructed, minimalist open back banjo based on old time classic and it really delivers on tone. It has great volume and whether you're a beginner or an advanced player looking for a backup, this is a great value. It's a 27.5" scale, with a Mahogany-bound rim and steel tension hoop, 18 brackets and even an armrest. It has an 11" Remo Fiberskyn head, a no-knot tailpiece, and Gretsch's classic '50s 2x2 headstock. Playability is great with a 1.18" nutwidth and 22 standard sized frets. Nice geared tuners, a geared 5th string tuner and of course a free setup from our luthiers.
