Inspired by the famed Filter'Tron edition of the White Penguin that first appeared in 1958, this Gretsch Vintage Select delivers that "Great Gretsch Sound" in spades, and looks good doing so. Featuring a chambered mahogany body capped with an arched laminated maple top, this solid body combo allows air to resonate between the top and body for an articulate, acoustic responsiveness, while being much more resistant to feedback. That responsive sound is faithfully conveyed by a set of TV Jones Filter'Tron pickups, for that classic Ray Butts-designed tone, that works equally well with high-fidelity chording or ripping high gain blues riffs. 

A "jet" style version of the iconic White Falcon, the White Penguin sports a vintage nitrocellulose lacquer white finish, gold hardware, and a headstock design that feels retro and futuristic all at the same time.  Includes a Gretsch hardshell case and a free Mass Street setup from our crew of luthiers.
