Herb Taylor - Non-Traditional Classical
SOLD. Call us for options.
This used Herb Taylor Non-Traditional Classical Guitar is, as you can see, an unusual and unique take on a traditional nylon-stringed guitar. This features a soundhole in the upper bout and two sound ports in the top side of the upper bout. In doing so, it gives it not only its distinct sound - though it very much still sounds like your standard classical guitar - but it also gives the player more direct feedback.
It's made with a White Cedar top and Goncalo Alves (Zebrawood) back and sides, and has an Ebony fingerboard. The bolt-on Mahogany neck has a cantilevered extension while also being adjustable, and it also has a split saddle for better overall intonation. The guitar's sound is clear and strong, with an exceptional lower register, in particular.
This has a 25 13/32" (645mm) scale length and 2" nut width. In addition to sounding great, this also has plenty of nice appointments throughout, most notably Ebony binding throughout and top veneer edging with black purfling. Built in 2008, this is in Very Good condition with minimal playwear. It has a centimeter-long scratch in the back of the neck (see photo) and some pickwear to its body just above the strings. Overall a nice player, this Herb Taylor Non-Traditional Classical Guitar is perfect for the nylon-stringed guitar enthusiast who wants something a little different. Includes original hardshell case.
