This 1961 D-28 is a vtinage Martin that's been given the professional repair treatment here in our shop. A neck reset, refret, fret dress and setup have all been completed, and an appropriately sized replacement bridge has been installed. This is a player's grade, Brazilian rosewood Martin that's ready for a new home.

Alternations include a replaced bridge, replacement era-appropriate bridge pins, replaced end pin, replaced heel cap and a strap hole drilled in the bass side of the neck. There are signs of water damage to the interior of the guitar on the treble side and treble-side back. There is a pair of finish checks in the top that are mirrored on both sides of the center seam and run the full length of the top. These are a pair finish cracks, and are not top cracks - they do not extend through the spruce, and have been verified by our repair shop. There is also a pair of similar finish cracks that are book-matched on the back and run a few inches from the bottom.

All the hallmarks of an early '60s North Street Martin build, including the original small maple bridge plate. Good condition overall with playwear to the finish throughout. Includes an era-appropriate hardshell case.
