This used 1992 Martin D-45 is amazingly clean and in Excellent condition. It looks virtually untouched, aside from one tiny ding on the back lower bout (and we mean tiny—see photo). There are barely even any pickguard scratches. This dread boasts top-of-the-line styling all around, namely, more than 900 pieces of abalone pearl. Each piece hand-filed, mitered, and fitted into the top, side, back and rosette bindings—as well as the hexagon fingerboard inlays and traditional C.F. Marin headstock lettering. Stellar looks aside, this one projects with the best of them, due in part to its hand-scalloped top bracing which maximizes soundboard vibrations. As with all Martins, this D-45 features optimum tone woods—Solid Spruce top, East Indian Rosewood back and sides, and an Ebony fretboard.
