This Martin DCPA4 Western Shaded Top adds a cool vintage finish to the sleek modern playability and big, traditional tone of this pro player. The Sitka Spruce top has a spectacular '30s inspired gloss Western Shaded Top and is paired with satin finished solid Sapele (a cousin of Mahogany) back and sides. This dread has a gentle cutaway so you can get to the upper frets easily and as part of the Performing Artist Series, it has the slimmer, super-fast neck profile too, so playing is a breeze, even for those long gigs. There's an ample 1 3/4" nutwidth but the neck is decidedly slimmer and feels great with a satin finish to the back.

Ready to plug in? This guitar has a Fishman F1 Analog system already installed so you're ready to roll, and the onboard controls couldn't be easier. Though this is a total workhorse of a guitar, it has nice yet no-frills detailing like black front and back body binding, large button chrome tuners and a durable Corian nut and saddle. This Martin DCPA4 Western Shaded Top comes with a hardshell case and a full set up from our luthiers.
