Martin Guitars - 1939 D-18

This D-18 was literally Grampa’s guitar. We acquired this guitar from the granddaughter of the original owner. Even when it first arrived with high action it was immediately apparent that this was a special guitar. It had all the things that an experienced vintage person would look for: wide neck, original bridge, original bridge plate, original frets, original tuners, original finish, no top cracks, etc - you get the idea.

A very careful neck reset and new frets has made this already wonderful guitar one that has been a treat to play for some of our many great player friends. Please feel free to call and have an in hand description of this guitar. It's always fun to talk about such a nice guitar that exemplifies why vintage guitars are so special. Currently residing in a Calton case. 785-843-3535
