This used Martin HDO Grand Ole Opry 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Acoustic is a fantastic dread guitar and one (number 35) of only 650 made in 2000. With a solid Sitka Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides, it sounds incredible - a bright tone that's loud yet with a distinct warmth - plenty of low-end here for those playing along with Grandpa Jones or jamming with Little Jimmy Dickens. This guitar is as exciting as the Opry itself with a cream-colored white Micarta fingerboard with "WSM Grand Ole Opry" in red pearloid lettering, and a classic mic inlaid in Abalone pearl with WSM's radio signal, 650 on the headstock. Under the showiness lies a great dread, with scalloped bracing, a roomy 1 3/4" nutwidth, low profile neck and chrome butterbean ope-gear tuners.
In addition to the Opry-inspired appointments, you have classic, elegant details including a dark tortoiseshell pickguard, the elegant Style 45 soundhole rosette, and Herringbone inlaid binding. On the back are HD zig-zag purfling and grained Ivoroid binding. Here in practically Mint condition, this Martin HDO Grand Ole Opry 75th Anniversary Ltd. Acoustic looks like its spent more time in its original hard case, which is included, than out.
