The Benson The Amp is a stellar team-up between Tim Marcus of Milkman and Chris Benson of Benson Amps, delivering a pedalboard-sized amp platform with all the venerable qualities of both builders. Featuring a single 12AX7 Tube, this preamp delivers warm, wooly drive to your signal whether it's going out to a speaker cab or the Benson-designed Cab Sim. The Cab Sim captures a 1x12 cab loaded with a Benson Ceramic 30 speaker, captured by an AEA N22 ribbon mic. This can be bypassed or enabled by the switch on the back.

Bass and Treble controls, hailing from the Benson Chimera and Monarch preamp, are musical and can leave a big or subtle impression on your tone. Clean sounds or tube-driven tones are achieved via the volume knob, and can be pushed further by the clean op-amp boost which happens before the tube preamp to capture some sweet overdrive.

A Keeley-designed reverb controlled via DSP is a natural sounding spring-reverb that pairs wonderfully with the Room effect. The Room gives life to DI recordings whether that's tracked guitars in recording or on the stage. The Pedal Output is a low level line output which can be used to run into another guitar pedal or amplifier. Further versatility is achieved by the Speaker, Direct, and Headphone out for whatever source you desire. Overall, a fantastic platform with immense versatility, all fitting on your board for a compact but powerful rig.
