This 2005 National Style 1 Tricone a modern interpretation of John Dopyera’s original 1927 tricone design. This guitar captures the innovation that first brought real volume and sustain to the acoustic world blending vintage sophistication with modern build quality.

The three 6" resonator cones connected by a T-bridge are at the core of this model, offering a smoother, more balanced EQ than single cone models with plenty of sustain and of course volume. The brass body hosts a striking Nickel plating that is matched by a tone that is bright, punchy, and harmonically rich, allowing you to cut through an ensemble with ease.

A mahogany neck paired with an ivoroid bound Ebony fingerboard offers a more natural and acoustic quality to this build.. The wider nut width offers generous spacing that is ideal for both intricate fingerstyle and slide playing. Arriving here in Very Good condition, this resonator features all original parts with a few scuffs and blemishes along the body. A pickup has been added so this guitar is ready for live situations where you might need even more volume. A substantial, quality instrument built to last with every minute detail included from the classics. Comes with the original hardshell case.
