Join Mass Street Music Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1pm for a workshop with world renowned blues musican, Nick Charles. Fresh off his 5th appearance at the Walnut Valley Festival Nick is making a stop here in Lawrence to present some of his dazzling melodic fingerpicking on six and twelve string guitars, stinging bottleneck slide and a lifetime’s stories and songs gathered or written on the world’s musical highways.

Particular emphasis will be placed on fingerpicking styles and their use and stylistic application. The aim of this workshop is to point folk and roots guitarists in the direction of a more creative and full accompaniment by way of the tried and true traditions of the guitar.
