Old Blood Noise Endeavors - Black Fountain Delay
This new Old Blood Noise Endeavors Black Fountain delay pedal was designed to emulate old school delay effects, long before anything digital, specifically the elusive oil-can delay units of the 1950s and '60s. By emphasizing its chorus-like modulations and warm repeats, you get a vintage-sounding pedal with a small footprint and modern construction.
This has four controls to manipulate your tone, but what really stands out is the three-way toggle switch between its built-in modes: Modern, Organ, and Vintage. Modern mode is modeled after vintage oil-can units, like the Morley EDL and Tel-Ray Model 10. Vintage mode is similar to Modern, but has a grittier and more gain-heavy tone. Both feature a delay time of up to 800 milliseconds.
Organ mode, meanwhile, is based on short-delay oil-can units - ones with a fixed delay time of 20ms, only here with variable rate and depth controls. Plus the Mix control can dial-in a pure "wet" signal for a full-on vibrato effect while also being able to create a simple reverb tone. An incredibly cool and versatile pedal, the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Black Fountain does an awful lot in a small package. It requires 9VDC power.
