This used Parker Fly Deluxe HSS isn't seen very often with the humbucker-single-single pickup configuration, so when one shows up it's pretty cool. First introduced in 1993, the Parker is known for the use of composite materials and turbo-lightweight woods, making it easy for shredders to play all night. This model has a carved Poplar body and Basswood neck with a C-shaped profile. It also weighs less than 5 lb.! Featuring 24 stainless steel frets, a 1.6811" Graph Tech nut, and a carbon/glass/epoxy composite fingerboard, Parker guitars are renowned for having possibly the fastest-playing necks on the market - this one certainly feels that way, making it a perfect shredding machine.
The implementation of an HSS pickup combo, as opposed to the more standard double humbucker, allows for more versatility and tonal options, especially for high-octane soloists looking to play something other than extended power metal licks. It also has the Parker Aluminum Vibrato system, Sperzel Trim-Lok tuners, and a five-way toggle switch with two volume and two tone knobs. Here in Excellent condition, there is very little wear to it, which is impressive for it being made in 2001. This Parker Fly Deluxe HSS is one of those guitars you've gotta try, especially if you're looking for a lightweight shredder. Includes original gig bag and a hard case - now that's versatile.
