Made in North Carolina, this Pisgah 11" Laydie combines old-world banjo design with modern playability. Featuring a beatiful curly maple pot and neck, this open-back banjo sports a scalloped "Whyte Laydie" tone ring, a design made famous by Vega banjos in the early 20th century. The combination of maple pot and upgraded tone-ring deliver a particulary refined sound, with a balanced string response making it a fantastic banjo for everything from old-time frailing to two and three-finger styles. 

A beutiful finish has been applied to the maple, leaving it untinted to really celebrate the grain of this North American hardwood. A great offering from our friends at Pisgah for a banjo with vintage tone and insightful attention to detail. Comes with a gig bag and a free Mass Street setup from our team of luthiers.
