We've spec'd out this 12" Custom from Pisgah Banjo Co. to combine that lauded, vintage sound with modern banjo maker. Immediately you'll notice the fretless Persimmon fingerboard on a Cherry neck, delivering a warm plunk and the ability to slide into notes you simply can't achieve on a fretted banjo. Additionally, it's spec'd out with a Cherry rim, Persimmon tone ring and traditional dowel stick construction, further evoking an old-time sound reminiscent of vintage banjos.

While we love the sound of natural skin head banjos with gut strings, they're quite temperamental making modern materials like Nylgut strings and a Fiberskyn head a wonderful replacement while still staying consistent to that sound. A slotted headstock and aged brass hardware complete the look for an old-time powerhouse that will surely stand out. Comes with a Pisgah gig bag and a setup to your specs from our Mass Street luthiers.
