The Quantum ES 4 USB-C Audio Interface from PreSonus is their latest offering for musicians looking for extremely high quality audio and functionality at a great price. New high-definition MAX-HD mic preamps with +75 dB of gain and 24 bit/192kHz converters allow for pristine audio quality that won't be clipping on you even with the enormous amount of gain that can be applied.
The guitar inputs on the front were co-developed by engineers at Fender, resulting in an authentic and responsive guitar tone when DI'd straight into the interface. 4 dual purpose XLR/Line-in inputs appear on the back of the interface along with 4 outs for either two pairs of monitors, or monitors and a stereo out to outboard gear. Dual headphone outs allow for working with another artist, giving each of you your own headphone mix. Lastly, a midi in and out 1/8" jack appears on the back as well.
Another unique feature is the auto-gain setting which has surprised users with its pinpoint accuracy, allowing for your creativity to flow unimpeded by fine-tuning proper gain staging. This can be bus-powered or powered by the aux USB-C port for on-the-go work or hunkering down in the studio. All parameters are controllable via either the onboard controls or the Universal Control App downloaded on their website.
