Sequential Circuits - Pro One 100
The Sequential Circuits Pro One 100 Synthesizer is a monstrous cool monophonic analog synth that does a lot of everything - and all in a compact, travel-ready package. Produced during the early '80s, it's a smaller version of the Prophet 5 polysynth, and features two VCOs, a four-pole lowpass filter, two ADSR envelopes, and a three-octave keyboard. Great for punchy bass lines, it also excels at leads or just generating bizarre synth effects. It has an onboard sequencer, which isn't usually found on monosynths of the time, as well as an arpeggiator with Up and Up/Down patterns. It's capable of storing two patterns and up to 40 notes, as well.
On its back are seven ins and outputs: Audio Out, Audio In, Filter CV In, Gate Out, CV Out, Gate/Clock In, and CV In. Fairly simple and intuitive to use, it isn't overwhelming like so many other synths on the market. This Pro One is encased in black that's sandwiched between two wooden sides, and is still in Very Good condition. The keybed is a little stiff, the nameplate on the top is missing, and the back logo has been painted over - otherwise, even after nearly 30 years of use, it's still in full working order. A super cool synth with loads of effects and just a blast to mess around with, this Sequential Circuits Pro One 100 Synthesizer is only one of about 10,000 made and they don't come around often.
