This Taylor 514ce FLTD 2014 edition is a guitar that can cover a lot of sonic ground, using a unique pairing of a Sitka Spruce top with Tasmanian Blackwood for its back and sides. It produces a well-balanced tone with incredibly focused mids and glistening highs, and with Taylor's Forward Shifted bracing with relief rout, you get increased bass and volume. The Tropical Mahogany neck is super comfortable and the Ebony fingerboard is incredibly smooth - great for flatpickers and strummers alike.
With a stunning shaded edge burst and medium brown stain finish, it's an absolute beauty, with ivoroid binding throughout, an elegant single ring ivoroid rosette, and tortoise-style pickguard rounding out its appointments. It has a standard 25 1/2" scale, 1 3/4" nut width, and 20 frets, as well as Taylor's improved Expression System 2 pickup/preamp system, so you (and your audience!) will hear your guitar's true tone when you're plugged in. The Taylor 514ce FLTD 2014 is a great guitar, top to bottom, maximizing its tonal varieties with a distinct tandem of tonewoods. Includes a hardshell case and setup from our luthiers.
