The Taylor 618e big-bodied, Grand Orchestra acoustic guitar is a game-changer in terms of Maple tone. Big Leaf Maple, best known for its brightness and quick decay, yields a powerful, yet amazingly balanced voice in this 618e - with remarkable sustain too. The new bracing system combines scalloped and parabolic so the larger lower bout (16 3/4" across and 5" deep!), smaller waist and top bout work beautifully together for a full, balanced tone with even response. The focused tone of the AA+ grade Maple back and sides really balance well with the Sitka top and makes for a killer pairing on a guitar this size.
This Taylor's gorgeous grain and finish really stand out too, while its Ebony fingerboard and Twisted Oval style inlay add an air of elegance to its already debonair demeanor. Featuring Taylor's onboard Expression System 2 electronics, the Taylor 618e is perfect for playing out, recording, or the big stage. Includes hardshell case and setup to your specs from our luthiers.
