This custom Taylor Koa 12-Fret Grand Concert BTO acoustic guitar is one that just has to be seen, held, and ultimately played. Its attributes, from the Koa wood to the choice of Paua for the fretboard inlay, were hand-chosen chosen by Eric P here at the store who recently visited Taylor in California. Featuring an all-Koa Grand Concert body with a shaded burst finish and figured Maple binding, Ebony fingerboard and head, and Mahogany neck, this 12-fret acoustic is downright stunning, and ideal for fingerstyle players. Some of the exceptional appointments include Paua Gothic Vine inlay along the fingerboard, its Byzantine style bridge inlay, and its slotted style headstock with Ivoroid tuning buttons, all of which make for a remarkable custom guitar.
Additionally, Taylor's acoustic guitar pickup/preamp Expression System is included—the true sound of the guitar itself comes through with a natural beauty and the controls are so easy to use. This GC is a delight to play, with a 1 3/4" nutwidth, and 24 7/8" scale length. Did we mention the Adirondack bracing which we feel contributes to better resonance? It's here - in fact, every inch of this BTO is exceptional. The Taylor Custom Koa 12-Fret Grand Concert BTO is a unique and impressive guitar from one of our favorite builders. Includes a Taylor brown hardshell case.
