This ThroBak Pickups - PG-102 MXV P.A.F. Humbucker Set, here in an Aged Nickel cover, delivers reproduction level components and techniques for that classic P.A.F. tone. Wound on the same era vintage winders that Gibson was known to use, specially the Leesona 102, which distributes the wire more evenly compared to other vintage machines, with only the best reproduction materials to deliver a rounder P.A.F. tone that still projects well.

The particular set has the neck pickup flipped in orientation which delivers middle out of phase tones for that Peter Green vibe. We've ordered guitars from Collings with the PG-102s for years, and we're excited about having sets in stock as an upgrade option for any guitar. (Includes Neck and Bridge pickups sold as a set)

From ThroBak: Wound with the same output specifications as the vintage PAF pickups in the original "Greenie" Les Paul played by Peter Green and utilizing oriented vintage spec. block charged long A5 the PG-102 MXV offers the power and focus that was such a integral part of the Peter Green pickups sound. With the neck magnet flipped for middle position out of phase tones, these PAF humbucker pickup clones give tonal colors made legendary by the great Peter Green. A stunning variety of tones can be had from simple volume, tone and selector switch adjustment. With coils wound on the ThroBak vintage Leesona 102 winder the PG-102 vintage PAF humbucker pickup clones encapsulates the vintage PAF pickup pickup at its zenith. Specifications include vintage correct reproduction plain enamel magnet wire, Michigan hard maple wood spacer, vintage correct two conductor wire and threaded baseplate.
