This Tom Anderson Short Classic with an Olympic White finish isn't just another strat-style electric. The beauty of these guitars is they're customizable—from body material to neck shape, to pickups and bridge, just about every detail is at your fingertips. For this particular one, we chose the slightly shorter scale, 24 3/4”, with 22 Low-Rise frets, and a 1 11/16” nut width, for remarkably fast and easy playing. Its lightweight Alder body (only 7 lb, 1 oz) won't break your back, and its Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard make a flawlessly executed specimen, perfect for all styles—rock, jazz, blues, you name it.
And with Tom Anderson's unique pickups, you have even more tonal options. With the two SC1 single-coils in the neck and middle position, you get a single-coil sound that's even richer and more effervescent than real vintage coils, and arguably the most musical hum-canceling pickups on the market. Coupled with an HC2 humbucker in the bridge position, you get an additional Medium Hot tone that's well-balanced for mid power supported by clarity and thump. Put 'em all together and you have an amazingly versatile guitar (5 way switching, Add Bridge, with splitter) suitable for any style. This Tom Anderson Short Classic with Olympic White finish is truly a phenomenal guitar. Includes a hardshell case.
