This used Tone King Imperial Combo sounds phenomenal, with everything from the purest Blackface cleans to some pretty gritty Tweed tones on tap. The Imperial was designed to capture the raw tone and loose feel of a well-warn vintage amp, and it does so in spades. Instead of simply emulating a vintage design, designer Mark Bartel worked closely with US-based manufacturers to build custom transformers and speakers specifically for this amp. Every detail points to quality, and it makes for a great sounding amp. The rhythm channel offers some of the best organic, broken in Princeton-style tones we've heard, and the lead channel with the super effective Mid-bite control, takes you from Tweed deluxe all the way to a bit of early British-style crunch. This Tone King Imperial Combo is in Excellent condition and includes the original footswitch.
