The Classic Reverb from Two-Rock delivers a multifarious range of tones, going from beautiful cleans to broken up leads. Featuring a cascading gain-stage design, each part of the amp feeds into the next, and as a result, the controls are particularly interactive with one another. Sporting a gorgeous, standout Loden suede combined with the classic Silver Anodized chassis, this is one of the most unique Two-Rock looks we've seen.
Starting with a FET-based gain that you can think of as the greatest clean boost pedal to ever hit the front of your amp, followed by 3 EQ settings and Bright, Mid, and Deep switches for further tone sculpting. The EQ1 switch is a two-way selector between 2 completely different global equalization settings affecting the overall response of the amp, with EQ1 being a higher headroom, lower gain setting and EQ2 being a full and balanced higher gain setting, perfect for single-coil or lower output pickups. The Bypass switch acts as a Tone Stack bypass, allowing for higher gain and bypassing the EQ dials, but retaining the Bright, Mid, and Deep switches.
Gain adjusts the overall gain of the amplifier and the 3-position Gain Structure switch alters the sensitivity and overall tonal character of the amplifier’s input stage. The Up position acts as a default, providing a familiar Two-Rock, midrange-forward feel and sound. Down delivers a vintage blackface feel with a scooped midrange response and slightly less gain, while the Middle position offers the most gain of the three positions pushing the amp into edge of breakup territory.
The tube-driven reverb is another hallmark of this amp's sound, with send & return controls for dialing in the mix, going from a slight spring to a deep and lush space. The High/Low Switch halves the power from 100W to 50W and the proprietary output transformers automatically compensate for impedance differences. Meticulously crafted, each amp is hand-voiced via internal trim pots, and each cab is constructed from high-quality Birch and is custom cut to provide excellent tone and projection.
