This Waterloo WL-K, serial# 922, takes Bill Collings' obsession with vintage-inspired modern instrument building to a whole new level. Based on the Kel Kroydon line of guitars from the 1930s this small-bodied guitar packs some serious sound and power.
This WL-K features a great-sounding Select Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides combo that beautifully complements the very subtle vintage-style shade finish. It also has elegant yet simple details that really add to its overall straightforward aesthetic, including an unbound neck, and Ivoroid top and soundhole binding.
With a softer, oval-shaped Mahogany neck, slightly shorter 24 7/8" scale length, spacious 1 3/4" nut width, and 2 3/8" string spacing, you have a roomy player with a decidedly vintage feel from the moment you pick it up. Structural details include a bone cut-through saddle, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, and Golden Age Restoration tuners - all of which expertly complement the rest of the guitar.
